Scope
This policy applies to untangledthreadspsychology.com (the "Site"), operated by Untangled Threads Psychology. It does not govern the handling of protected health information (PHI) created during therapy, which is described in our separate Notice of Privacy Practices provided at intake.

Information you give us
When you use the contact form or request a consultation, we may collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), your location (state), and the message you send. Please do not include detailed clinical or sensitive health information in these messages.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we may collect limited technical data such as your browser type, device, approximate region, and pages visited. We use Google Analytics for this, which sets cookies and processes the data on our behalf to help us understand how the Site is used. Google may process this information in accordance with its own privacy policy. We also use Google Ads conversion tracking, which records when a visit that began from one of our ads leads to a contact-form inquiry; it does not capture the contents of your message. Analytics and conversion tracking run only if you accept them in the cookie banner; decline and no analytics or advertising cookies are set.
How we use information

Service providers
Inquiries are sent through the contact form on this Site, which is handled by our form and hosting providers solely to deliver your message to us. We use service providers only as needed to run the Site and the practice, under appropriate agreements (including Business Associate Agreements where required by HIPAA). The Site is hosted on Cloudflare, which also processes contact-form submissions to deliver them to us.
Cookies and analytics
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are sent. Some parts of the Site may not function as intended without them. You can also opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on.
Data retention
We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to respond and for our reasonable record-keeping, then delete or de-identify it.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know and the right to delete. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
